Out of all the different type of breeds why should you choose a Pug? Well for starters, they are one of the more unique breed that has held up it’s names in history for a long time. They have a history full of prestige and glamor. Being part of many royal families and one of the top choices of dogs for celebrities.
But that alone is probably not a good enough reason for choosing the Pug as your dog. Pugs make excellent pets, but they make excellent pets for some people and not others. To know if the Pug is the right dog for, you you have to know what you want and expect from a dog. You have to know the type of qualities Pugs have and then decide if that’s the qualities you want in a dog.

Does the Pug have the qualities to be a good family pet? By taking a closer look at the characteristics you can decide for yourself.
Your pug can began to show dominant behavior – For people that know how to properly handle these dogs, this won’t be a problem. But for those that don’t know how to properly show your dog that you are the head of the household, this can turn into a big problem.
They can’t handle too much exercise – This breed is not really for people that like to go running with their dogs. Since pugs are small with short and stubby legs it takes them more work to keep up with you if you are running or jogging.
This breed is susceptible to certain health issues – There are genetic diseases that pugs and some other small dog breeds are prone to have. For this and other reasons its important to know what you are getting with the dog before you get emotionally attached. Pugs also have a tendency to have some breathing problems and eye problems. But these can be easily dealt with if you know what you are doing
